Andover B&B Attractions

This Andover B&B is convenient for music fans, as the musicians of the Troggs and Manfred Mann, were born in Andover. The Andover area clearly inspires artistic talent as Agatha Christie readers will appreciate. The ABC Murders (a Hercule Poirot mystery) were set in Andover, the site of the first murder and the nearby Nether Wallop was used as the setting for Agatha Christie's Miss Marple's village of St. Mary Mead in the BBC adaptation.

Also nearby, is the Museum of Iron Age and Amport House, a manor house near Andover. It was built in 1857 by the Marquess of Winchester. The gardens were designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. A converted stable block holds the The Museum of Army Chaplaincy. The museum shares the history of British Army Chaplaincy from its start to the current day with archive material and antique historical relics. Admission to the Museum is free but only by appointment becaue it is located on MOD land.

Close to Andover B&B is the ancient and beautiful Church of St Mary, which is a fine example of ecclesiastical architecture.
